A Slice of the Seventies FRONT cover HendrixA Slice of the Seventies tells the true story of Jersey-born Mug, a troubled girl from a recently broken home. It covers her experiences as a teenager at the Isle of Wight Music Festival in 1970, the same year she follows a guru. The book tracks her tumultuous four years as an art student in Coventry, where vegetarian Mug finds herself living next door to an abattoir and a railway shunting yard with David, a fellow art student. Dramatic events follow on from the evening they first meet at a party, where David is attempting to commit an extremely public suicide. Whether you were around during that decade or not, you’re bound to enjoy this nostalgic Slice of the Seventies. The Kindle of LIVING WITH POSTCARDS is FREE on Amazon from 8th-9th March

Living with Postcards FRONT cover newLiving with Postcards is my only non-fiction book out of the dozen books I’ve written. It’s packed with colour illustrations and describes my close relationship with old postcards. Each card illustrated in the book is from my own large collection. I’ve collected over 2,000 of these charming, quirky, historical items since the 1970s. I gave a talk to Full Circle members at Oldham Coliseum about Living with Postcards in January 2017. Living with Postcards is a beautiful present from the past that anyone can enjoy. It is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions and is always free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
“The author shares her impressive knowledge of vintage postcards in an entertaining and informative style. Brimming with lovely reproductions, it’s never dull. A book to read from cover to cover or just dip into. Certainly, a book to revisit. Living with Postcards makes an imaginative present, even to someone like me who has no particular interest in postcard collecting. I can thoroughly recommend it.”

It’s that time of year again

Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2018 from me and my books. I’m busy writing books 13 and 14, but not too busy to be planning to enjoy the festive season with my daughter and son-in-law.

One of the books I’m working on is a standalone crime thriller entitled A Shedload of Pain. It’s set in Southern Ireland and Sheffield. The other WIP is book 5 in The Hostile series. I hope to publish them on Amazon in 2018. Happy reading!
