Kindle of The Hostile is free on Amazon from 12th-14th June

In a rundown area of Manchester, inside the bathroom of a terraced house overflowing with children and dysfunctional parents, a powerful entity befriends young Serena with disastrous results. This unlikely enigmatic force not only dramatically affects introverted Serena’s life but also threatens the well-being of everyone she knows, especially those people who’ve earned the strange girl’s displeasure. It soon becomes clear that nobody should ever upset Serena … if they know what’s good for them. After reading The Hostile, you’ll never look at D.I.Y. in the same way again.

The Hostile is a “refreshingly original” contemporary paranormal crime thriller. “A bizarrely captivating” read. It’s book one of The Hostile series. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone. Book two, Holiday for The Hostile, was published in December 2016. The third book in this unusual series, The Hostile Game, was published on Amazon in Kindle and paperback in April 2017. I’m currently writing book four, Confronting The Hostile.

All ten of my Kindle editions on Amazon are £0.99 each, or equivalent currencies, and are always free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers. The paperback versions won’t break the bank either. If you enjoy audiobooks, two of my books, The Hostile, and Her demonic Angel, are also available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes as audiobooks. Audiobooks of Holiday for The Hostile will be available in July, and The Hostile Game will follow in August 2017.

Another freebie from me

The Kindle edition of my brand new thriller, HOLIDAY FOR THE HOSTILE, is FREE on Amazon today, 6th December.

Holiday for The Hostile, second book in The Hostile series, is a gripping contemporary paranormal thriller with a splash of horror. It was published on Amazon in Kindle and paperback editions on 1st December 2016. Serena, plus her unusual friend and partner in crime, Tile X, reluctantly find themselves suffering a family holiday at her eccentric grandfather’s hovel in Ireland. Who will manage to escape intact from their dramatic holiday from Hell?

Readers tell me they think Holiday for The Hostile is superior to book one, The Hostile, the paranormal thriller I published 8 months before its sequel. My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to ensure book three in The Hostile series is even more exciting than the first two. No pressure.

Here’s a snapshot of what a few of the readers who’ve read it say about Holiday for The Hostile:
“Ms Mutter has carved out a new niche for herself. And from where I’m standing, she’s way out in front … With some books, you get an idea where things are going and where they’re likely to end. Not this one. Every chapter was a surprise with new characters and situations and a bunch of wonderfully inventive deaths.”

“It has plenty of scary bits so if you don’t like scary bits then maybe it’s not the book for you but I personally can’t wait until book three is out.”

“The action moves to Ireland this time with lots of unforeseen consequences. With two guardian ghosts looking out for Serena, acting almost like Bill and Ben at times, there really are some light-hearted moments. The end is a total surprise. Was expecting a skeleton in the family closet, but it turns in a completely different direction, keeping you on your toes and guessing.”

“Excellent. The story got deeper & you get to know more about Serena and Tile X drops a deep hint! Really looking forward to more. Joy tells a good tale.”

The paperback edition of Holiday for The Hostile went live on Amazon today!

front-cover-holiday-for-the-hostile-newI’m so excited to have just ordered the first paperback copy (£5.95) of my brand spanking new book, Holiday for The Hostile, second book of The Hostile series. It’s my ninth book, but the excitement is as great as it was in July 2015 when I published my first book. Holiday for The Hostile is probably even stranger than the first book. There’s certainly more horror, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. I seem to have added horror to the list of genres I write in. The Kindle edition (£0.99) should go live on Amazon any day. I pressed the ‘Publish’ button this morning.

I’ve been told Holiday for The Hostile is even better and more thrilling than book one, The Hostile. My mission, should I agree to accept it, is to ensure book three is even more exciting than the first two. No pressure.
